VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, and all major debit networks have set forth a new industry standard which requires all merchants to ensure security when transactions are processed using a credit card. All merchants must comply with these standards by updating their terminals to meet PCI Compliance regulations.
Effective April 1, 2009, if your business has not upgraded your equipment you could be fined up to $25,000.00 and lose the ability to process credit and debit cards.
